Onigiri (Rice Balls)

As seen in “Loving Yourself” Season 1, Episode 4

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of steamed rice

  • Sour plum (umeboshi)

  • Sesame seeds

  • 1-2 sheets dried nori seaweed

Steps

  1. Cut the seaweed into 8 or 9 long strips

  2. Wet your hands with water

  3. Grab a handful of rice and make a little well in the middle

  4. Stuff it with the sour plum or other filling of choice

  5. Cover the center with rice and mold it into a triangle

  6. Wrap the rice ball with a strip of nori

  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the rice ball

  8. Eat!
