Hummus
As seen in “Safe and Sound” Season 2, Episode 12
Ingredients
15 oz can chickpeas
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup tahini
1 garlic clove, minced
2 Tbsp olive oil
½ tsp cumin
3 Tbsp water
½ tsp salt
Pita bread
Steps
Squeeze ¼ cup fresh lemon juice and pour into the blender.
Add tahini and blend for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides.
Add minced garlic, cumin, salt and oil. Blend for another 30 seconds, then scrape down the sides.
Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
Add half of the chickpeas and blend until smooth (about 1 minute). Scrape the sides.
Add the remaining chickpeas and water. Blend for another minute.
Serve with pita bread and enjoy!
