Cereal Protein Bars

As seen in “You’re the Bee’s Knees” Season 2, Episode 3

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cheerios

  • ½ cup dried berries

  • 1 cup roasted and salted sunflower seeds

  • ⅔ cup raw honey

  • ⅔ cup sunflower butter 


Steps

  1. Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine cereal, dried berries, and sunflower seeds. Mix well.

  3. In a pot over medium heat, constantly stir honey and sunflower butter until completely smooth and “silky”, ~30-60 seconds. Remove from heat immediately.

  4. Let the mixture cool for 3-5 minutes. 

  5. Pour honey mixture over the dry cereal mixture, tossing to coat really well.

  6. Press mixture firmly into the prepared pan. Cover and chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

  7. Cut into bars and enjoy!
